What's New?

Writer's picture: Adrianne BrownAdrianne Brown

Every time you turn around there is something new to attend to; something that steals your focus. Technology does that, its like electricity when its turned on; its illuminating until something brighter comes along, like the next current. Just after the iPhone 8 arrived, consumers became anxious and put on layaway the iPhone X. If we are not careful technology can become addictive like a drug, or, for those who can't keep up, make one feel antiquated.

Vanity

'Vanity of vanities; all is vanity . There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after (Ecclesiastes 1:2,11).

That's not All

Technology is not the only thing lobbying for our attention.

Coalitions are making a come back. Some are of necessity, others are conspicuous and change abruptly. And, nothing is sacred anymore. No more prayer in school, no more in God we trust, and more and more people are wanting to know what new philosophy or doctrine may be learned.

What's a Man to Do?

'Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with Grace; not with meats, which have not profited them who have been occupied therein (Hebrews 13:9).'

So, What's New?

Nothing! So, don't stress, 'Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).'

Keep the Faith!
