We are all one body. The body has one mind, one heart, and one soul. We are one blood. Every member of the body serves a certain purpose, but at a different capacity. Although we are many members, no two members are alike.
How are we one Body?
For by one Spirit we all came to be, no matter the nationality or ethnicity (1 Corinthians 12:13 ). God created man in His own image; male and female (Genesis 1:27).
Many Members
Now there are diversities of gifts, differences in administration, and diversities of operation, but it is the same God which works all in all (1 Corinthians 12:4-6). Man by his own ability cannot bring about change, of any kind. One man plants, another waters, but God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6).
No big I's nor Little You's
Now he who plants and he who waters are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor
(1 Corinthians 3:8). Let no man think of himself more highly than he ought (Romans 12:3)
Purpose
Our purpose is to edify the body of Christ. From Whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, making increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love (Ephesians 4:16).
Moral of this Blog
Don't stress over what God gives you to do. Big or small, its your purpose. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love your neighbor as you love yourself . There is no other greater commandment than these (Mark 12:30,31).
