To repent means to turn away from. To feel sorrow, regret, or contrition for. To repent is to change one's mind and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life. People repent of many things for various reasons. Whatever the thing or reason, it is the law of God that if one does not "mourn" for his sin, he will "mourn" because of it. All true repentance is born from a sense of sin against God.
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap. For he that sow to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sow to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Galatians 6:7-8)
Repent and Start Building
"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9)."Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself (Mathew 22:37-39). Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Build a personal relationship with Jesus and follow Him so closely that nothing or no one can get in between.
