The Work God Gave You To Do Didn't Start With You

Updated: Nov 8, 2020

"I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors (John 4:38)."

God Gives Us All A Task

Being concerned about what someone else is doing should be the farthest thing from our mind. The Apostle Paul said, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:6-9,11). We all have a part in the labor of the harvest; winning souls to Christ.

Its Not a Competition But A Race

"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown (1 Corinthians 9:24-25). Not for the likes of man.

Walk In Love

"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them (Ephesians 5:6-7)

Be Grateful, Be Thankful, Be Humble. Trust God
