Why Does Man Blame God When He Is Tempted To Sin?

Writer's picture: Adrianne BrownAdrianne Brown

When a man is tempted to sin, he is enticed to do wrong by promise of pleasure or gain; he is taking a risk on the conception that he can get away with it. God does not tempt man to sin. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap. For he that sow to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sow to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Galatians 6:7-8).

Don't Blame God

"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempt he any man:But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bring forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bring forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren (James 1:13-16).

Blame Sin

Sin is a moral defect that has marred man since the fall of man in the Garden. It adversely affects the behavior of even, those who seem to be, the best of us."For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world (1 John 2:16).
