Addiction is a condition in which a person engages in use of a substance or in a behavior for which the rewarding effects provide a compelling incentive to repeatedly pursue the behavior despite detrimental consequences. Typically, tolerance to the substance and or behavior increases, as the body and brain adapt to its presence. "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump (Galatians 5:9). Addiction is an issue that has plagued man since the time of antiquity. However, no matter the addiction (issue) or personality type, one may be made whole.
Addiction Is An Issue
One may be addicted to alcohol, inhalants, opioids, cocaine, nicotine, and others, or behaviors such as gambling, and more. One may be addicted to the pain he is used to feeling. He may have one or more personality types, and, just like the woman with the issue of blood, suffer from his issue for many years and spend lots of money trying to resolve it. Some things may be impossible for man to solve, but with God nothing is impossible.
"For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Whatever The Issue, God Can Solve It
"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (Mark 5:25-29).
