"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:4-6).
God Did It, And He Did It Just For Us!
Jesus was sent to save man from the consequences of sin. He was sent as the Way (John 14:6) for man to be redeemed, and reconciled back to God due to the Fall of Adam. Jesus is the Way of escape from punishment; the judgement. Although Jesus was blameless, He was made a curse for us as He suffered in our place for past, present, and future sins. All of our sins laid upon the Lamb of God; Jesus, Who paid our sin debt in full. God did it! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.
"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:12-14).
