Salvation Cannot Be Purchased

Offerings, and sacrifices will not get us into heaven. Repent; turn from your wicked ways, and let Jesus lead you. Hear the Word of the Lord, and be willing to obey.

"To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hate: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood (Isaiah 1:11-15).

Pride is the reason God will not accept our vain obligations. Don't worship the act of worshiping. Look to Who the worship represents; Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross. Not the prideful, only the remorseful contrite; repented, in heart shall see God (Mathew 5:8).

Do You Want To Please God?

"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and save such as be of a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). God said, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Be Humble. Repent; turn from your wicked ways
