Not In The Mountain, Nor In Jerusalem

Updated: Mar 7, 2021

"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:21-24).

God Is A Spirit

Salvation is for all people (Isaiah 52:10). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). That means whoever you are, or wherever you are, you have the opportunity to accept the gift of eternal life. Jesus Christ is the gift. When a man accepts Christ wholeheartedly and by confession- Romans 10:10, God's Holy Spirit ignites and energizes his spirit giving him the Power to do the Will of God (Luke 3:16).

Worship God In Spirit and In Truth

When a man worships in spirit and in truth, "Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth (Luke 3:5).

God will pardon a converted man's soul, which will no longer be an empty valley. Pride will no longer live there. Such a man will learn to be honest and love his fellowman.
