Answer The Call

"And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I (1 Samuel 3;1-4).

All Will Hear Him

"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21). God desires to lead and guide us in His way. His Word provides us with a vision; imagery, of what would be our eternal resting place, if we answer the call. "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he (Proverbs 29:18). The Word of the Lord is still precious and still calling. "Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness (Hebrews 3:7-8). God speaks in many ways. Whichever way God chooses to speak [call] to you, answer Him - Here am I.

Prayer

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus asking that you open our hearts and minds so that we may receive Your Word and Your vision. Forgive us of our sins as we repent even now. Create in us a clean heart and renewed spirit, so that we are not tempted to harden our hearts when you call. Amen!
