Everyone Has An Opinion
Everyone has his or her own opinion, especially when considering church matters. Opinions on what this one should be doing or not doing, how that one should be responding or not responding, or what one should be wearing or not wearing, or eating or not eating, etc. Seek the truth in God's Word. In seeking to know the truth we demonstrate our faith in God. He knows who we are, where we are, what we are, and what we need at all times. He is the One Who places, and will place, us where He needs us to be in the body of Christ in order that one depend on another (Romans 12:4,5). "Therefore let us not criticize one another anymore, but rather determine this--not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block or a source of temptation in another believer’s way (Romans 14:13).
The Lord Makes Us To Stand Strong
"As for the one whose faith is weak, accept him [into your fellowship], but not for [the purpose of] quarreling over his opinions. One man’s faith permits him to eat everything, while the weak believer eats only vegetables [to avoid eating ritually unclean meat or something previously considered unclean]. The one who eats [everything] is not to look down on the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat must not criticize or pass judgment on the one who eats [everything], for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge the servant of another? Before his own master he stands [approved] or falls [out of favor]. And he [who serves the Master--the Lord] will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand (Romans 14:1-4).
We Will All Give An Account
"None of us lives for himself [for his own benefit, but for the Lord], and none of us dies for himself [but for the Lord]. If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. So then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For Christ died and lived again for this reason, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. But you, why do you criticize your brother? Or you again, why do you look down on your [believing] brother or regard him with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God [who alone is judge]. For it is written [in Scripture], “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall give praise to God.” So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God (Romans 14:7-12).
Pursue The Things Which Make For Peace
"Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:16-18) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves (Philippians 2:3). Follow Jesus, imitate Him."Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:6-8). Always pursue the things which make for peace. Talk to God everyday. "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly and affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another (Romans 12:9-10) "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
