The Church and Fellowship

The Church

The church is founded on the Lord Jesus Christ (Psalm 118:22), called into being by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:22-23), and  contains people of all races who thereby have become one new people in the sight of God (Romans 12:5). The Church is the body of Christ; we [believers] are the Church and Christ is the head.

Fellowship

Fellowship is a company of equals; a community sharing the same interest. Fellowship of the Church amongst believers may be accomplished in a home, building, or specified meeting place. A non-discriminatory place of peace. Ultimately, Christian places of fellowship should be a place where one may find rest, and restoration, for his mind, spirit, and soul; a place where love lives and grows. They are places open to all in need of encouragement, counsel, and or those seeking to know God and become part of the body [church] of Christ. When Christians [born again believers in Christ Jesus; the Church] fellowship [gather together], they are committed to worship, prayer, learning, teaching, and making disciples; followers of Christ. The fellowship of the Church is meant to grow exponentially in the Spirit, and God's Word. "Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer (Hebrews 10:25).
