Updated: Oct 23, 2021

Believers and non-believers, alike, struggle with psychological battles. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event - either experienced, or witnessed. Our hearts and minds affect us in different ways. Although we struggle, we can take comfort in the fact that God is with us.

One Traumatic Event

The mind body connection is strong. One traumatic event can cause the mind to experience a panic attack, or become depressed. To even think on a traumatic event can cause pain in the body. The whole world suffers from some sort of PTSD. Current events may cause one to think on past events, which in turn may cause stress and worry. Whatever happened to you in the past, you survived it. This too shall pass so... “Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

PTSD is serious. Pray to God's help. You may also Speak to a loved one, friend, counselor, and or Doctor, just don't suffer in silence.
