When You Pray to the Lord For an Answer, Wait on Him for the Answer

Updated: Jun 11, 2021

Pray To the Lord

Ask the Lord to give ear to your words, and to consider your meditation. Ask Him to hearken unto the voice of your cry, because He is your King, and your God; for unto Him will you pray. Let Him know that it is your voice He'll hear in the morning; in the morning you will direct your prayer unto Him, and will look up (Psalm 5:1-3). God has all the answers to your questions, just wait on Him.

Wait on the Lord

We are not praying to a dead god made of wood that has no ears, no life, or no heart. We are praying to the true and living God  Who created us in His image. The only One Who has all the answers to our questions. God knows how we feel. 'For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). And He knows what we need. 'Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that ask receive; and he that seek find; and to him that knock it shall be opened. If we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more shall our Father in heaven give good things to them that ask him?  (Mathew 7:7,8,11). God knows that we may get weary. He know that 'even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:30-31). Wait on the Lord.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD (Psalm 27:14).
