Be Careful not to Test God's Patience

"We must not tempt the Lord [that is, test His patience, question His purpose or exploit His goodness], as some of them did—and they were killed by serpents. And do not murmur [in unwarranted discontent], as some of them did—and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now these things happened to them as an example and warning [to us]; they were written for our instruction [to admonish and equip us], upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let the one who thinks he stands firm [immune to temptation, being overconfident and self-righteous], take care that he does not fall [into sin and condemnation]. (1 Corinthians 10:9-12 AMP)

Take Heed

We must take heed to God's Word. His Word is a lamp to our feet a light to our path - Psalm 119:105. Things will not always go our way. God knows best. He knows what we need and when we need it. This world can tantalize you right out of God's promises, if you let it. Stop complaining and be grateful for what you have. Remember where God has already brought you from. We are all susceptible to temptations. However, "No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. (1 Corinthians 10:13 AMP) In times of testing trust God's Word. "For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. (Hebrews 4:15-16 AMP)

Be Humble

"Therefore let the one who thinks he stands firm [immune to temptation, being overconfident and self-righteous], take care that he does not fall [into sin and condemnation]. (1 Corinthians 10:12 AMP). Remember, we are all susceptible to sin. Yes! [born again believers] "For this reason [that is, because of God’s final revelation in His Son Jesus and because of Jesus’ superiority to the angels] we must pay much closer attention than ever to the things that we have heard, so that we do not [in any way] drift away from truth. For if the message given through angels [the Law given to Moses] was authentic and unalterable, and every violation and disobedient act received an appropriate penalty, how will we escape [the penalty] if we ignore such a great salvation [the gospel, the new covenant]? For it was spoken at first by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us and proved authentic by those who personally heard [Him speak], (Hebrews 2: 1-3 AMP) For those who sin and are truly remorseful, we have an advocate in Jesus Christ (1 John 2:1), and he has already won the battle.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His hands. Have a blessed stress free worry free day on purpose, and never stop believing Jesus paid it all.
