"Produce fruit that shows you have changed your hearts and lives. The ax is already at the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be chopped down and tossed into the fire. (Matthew 3:8,10).
Jesus Is Coming Back
Jesus came to the earth the first time as a servant who would suffer for our sins. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17). . His second coming will be as King and Judge to rule. "...behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (Revelation 22:12-13).
Do an About Face
We don't have to wait before we believe. We can make Jesus King of our lives now. Repent; turn from our own wicked ways. The kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 3:2). Be truthful when you call on Him. "The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Repentance is the first step. Afterward takes a daily reliance on and confidence in God to finish what He started. God always finishes what He starts (Philippians 1:6). The devil thinks he has you, but Jesus said all which His Father gives Him He shall not lose (John 6:39). If you come to Jesus its because God chose you. Jesus said, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:44).
True Repentance
God looks far beyond our words and religious actions. He doesn't see like we see. "..man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.(1 Samuel 16:7). True repentance calls us to be active and productive in our obedience. "Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance (Matthew 3:8). Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
