What is Fake News?
Fake news is anything that does not report the truth. It's a distorted, misleading, false account or impression of the facts. Spreading fake news is a deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth. It is the spreading of lies in order to keep the hearer in the dark. Fake news effects everyone, but God. Thankfully there is some good, true, lifesaving, mind altering (for the better) news.
The Truth; The Good News
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17). The truth is that no matter what things look like on the news, around the world and in our communities, you can still see God's hand in everything if you choose to believe in Him. We as believers must spread the Truth of God's Word. God is Truth; His Word is Truth. God is still in charge and well in control. Everyone will not come to know God. "He (Christ) was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him (John 1:10). Yet, it is in God that we move and have our being. Everything God did was done in order that man should seek the Lord (Acts 17:26-28). That's the Truth. "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life (1 John 5:20).
So Why Do Men Lie?
Here's what God's Word says. We are all adulterers [worshiping idols instead of the Lord]. Treacherous men/women of weak character without integrity. Our lies prevail and grow strong in the land because they proceed from evil to evil. All because we do not know, understand, nor acknowledge the Lord. We really cannot trust anyone. Not our neighbor; not even our brothers/sisters, because even they spread lies to hasten our downfall. No one speaks the truth. We have all taught our tongues to speak lies. We exhaust ourselves with sin and cruelty. Oppression upon oppression and deceit upon deceit. We refuse to get to know the Lord (Jeremiah 9:1-6). So, in short, we are all liars and will remain so until or unless we accept and submit to God's free gift of Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. "All of us like sheep have gone astray, we have turned, each one, to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing] To fall on Him [instead of us] (Isaiah 53:6). God so loved us. He still loves us.
Repent. Do Life God's Way "....Repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17). Jesus said..., “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had [really] known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on [if you believe] you know Him and have seen Him (John 14:6). .
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all I His hands. Have a blessed stress free worry free day on purpose. And never stop believing Jesus paid it all. Never give up. Never give in. Forgive someone today. Forgive yourself.
