Free Your Mind

Updated: Sep 24, 2021

"Don't worry about tomorrow: for tomorrow will have its own problems. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

(Matthew 6:34)

Free Your Mind

Life is too short (James 4:14). Enjoy this day. Do what you can when you can and leave the rest to God; no stress. Remember to take care of yourself. If you burn yourself out trying to do what only God can, you're not really helping anyone. You have to come to the understanding and know that you can't be everything to everybody. Only God has that Power to do that. Learn to pray about situations and circumstances, because while we're trying to figure things out God is already working those things out. Trust Him. Rest in Jesus. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (3:16)

"But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:2-3).

Meditate On God's Word

When we make meditating on the Word of God our daily practice, it makes us mentally and spiritually strong. We learn to trust God with the things that we have no control over. Meditating on God's Word keeps us from chronically worrying, or being anxious about our situations and circumstances. The Word of God ingrained in our hearts and minds induces hope in us (those of us who keep their minds stayed on Him). He is the One Who, through Christ Jesus, will keep us in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Jesus tells His followers that, although things look dark, everything is under His control, to trust and believe Him, and to be encouraged. He said,. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
