Man's Approval is Temporary God's is Eternal

Updated: Oct 18

"For they loved human praise more than praise from God. (John 12:43 NIV)

Do You Love the Praises of Man More than Praises from God?

If your answer is yes to this subtitle, it will be the death of you. To love the esteem, applause, and honor of men, the building up of your-self and longing for the approval of man more than the praise of God, this will separate you from our loving God. Do you not know that whatever you treasure the most is where your heart will be. God wants your whole heart. What we treasure here on earth will never last. God's treasure is everlasting and will never perish. Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21) Man's approval of us is temporary God's approval of us is Eternal.

Jesus Loves You

There is nothing wrong with people appreciating you. Only be careful not to allow the praises of men go to your head and allow pride to take the place of God's principles. This life is not all we have. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (Corinthians 5:10 NIV) "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26 KJV) Our time here is brief (Psalm 39:4-5) The only approval we need is Jesus' approval. Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33 NIV)

Trust God

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8 NIV) The greatest commandment is this, “‘...Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40 NIV) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV) Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 NIV)

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His hands. have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose, and never stop believing Jesus paid it all.
