Only Your Actions Can Show People How Much You Really Care

Updated: Oct 18

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Love is What Love Does

It's not in the words I love you, it is in the action. The Word of God explains what love looks like. It is Jesus, God's Son. His Blood shed on the Cross for all mankind is what love is and what love does. A selfless kind of love. For us it is a love that holds no grudges. The kind of love that forgives no matter what. The kind of love that prays for our enemies. The kind of love that we don't talk about but are about. True love is a choice one makes. It is a choice to be truly concerned about others.

God is Love

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17) God loved us so much that He made us in His own image and breathed life into us. He gave His only Son Jesus' life on the Cross to redeem us. Jesus paid the price for us. ".. He was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 KJV) Jesus did this for the redemption all humanity. Every soul that the devil tried to steal through Adam, Jesus victoriously won back on the Cross. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57 KJV) Death is swallowed up in victory (vs 54) God will never quit on us even when we quit on Him. He is eager to welcome back His wayward children. God saw us and had compassion for us, and He still does. He celebrates our returning to Him (Luke 15:11-32) "...Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Luke 4:17KJV)
