Our Gifts are not for Self Service

"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it. (1 Corinthians 12:4,14,26 KJV)

Anyone Can Claim to Speak for God

If one truly speaks for God, he or she will not speak of him or herself. There are no big I's or little U's in God's house. God gets the Glory from His-story. He does not work for us we work for Him. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV) ."...for there is no respect of persons with God (Romans 2:11 KJV). Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. God did it. Give Him the Glory. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 'John 3:16 Get over yourself and point people to Christ Jesus.

The Gifts of God are to Edify His Body (the Church) Not Self

God gives all who believe in Him (Jesus) spiritual gifts, that are to be used to edify, serve, build up and strengthen the body of Christ; the Church (1 Corinthians 12 KJV). For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also, is Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12 KJV)

Aim to Know and Be Found in Christ

The Apostle Paul said "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:7-14 KJV)

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24 KJV)
