"Only acknowledge your guilt—you have rebelled against the Lord your God,
you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree,
and have not obeyed me,’ declares the Lord. “Return, faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband. I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion. Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:13-15 NIV) Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place (Revelation 2:5 NIV)
Own Up and God Will Forgive You
When I look back over my life, I can see how the Lord has kept me. Through all of my ups and downs, trials and tribulations, God was there. Guess what? God is still here. We all know when we have rebelled against God, "...our sins testify against us.
Our offenses are ever with us, and we acknowledge our iniquities: rebellion and treachery against the Lord, turning our backs on our God, inciting revolt and oppression, uttering lies our hearts have conceived. (Isaiah 59:12-13 NIV) So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness,
for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows. Like the blind we grope along the wall,
feeling our way like people without eyes. At midday we stumble, as if it were twilight,
among the strong, we are like the dead. We all growl like bears; we moan mournfully like doves. We look for justice, but find none; for deliverance, but it is far away. (Isaih 59:9-11) And all of this because we refuse to own up., repent. God wants you to acknowledge your guilt (Jeremiah 3:13) Don't allow your shame and or pride to keep you from asking for God's forgiveness.
Return to Your First Love
“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16 AMP) Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place (Revelation 2:5 NIV) Jesus warns the unrepented that He would remove the light from them, from its place. Don't allow your heart to be hardened because of pride. When you first believed you were so in love. What happened? You have to own your stuff and with a sincere heart acknowledge that you've sinned against God, then ask Him to forgive you. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place (Revelation 2:5 NIV)
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His Hands. Have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose, and never stop believing Jesus paid it all.
