"Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders regarded as unworthy and rejected, This [very stone] has become the chief Cornerstone This came about from the Lord, And it is marvelous and wonderful in our eyes’? (Mark 12:10-11)
Our Foundation
Jesus is the Rock. “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are judgment, a God of truth and without iniquity; just and right is He (Deuteronomy 32:4). When one does not except Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he is rejecting the source of his life. Everything we have comes from the Lord (James 1:17). Jesus has been rejected from times of antiquity till today. Why do many reject Jesus when He's the only One Who can and will make everything straight and level? Sin and unbelief is the reason.
Our Condition
Our condition is not an imbalance in blood levels or hormones i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. Our condition is shrouded in sin and unbelief, which can not be cured by nothing we do. It is a condition that we inherited from Adam's unbelief and disobedience of God's command (Genesis 2:16-17, 3). F rom the beginning we have been trying to hide from God, but we can not hide from God and there is absolutely nothing we can do to cover our sin (Genesis 3:7-8). What God did next (Genesis 3:21) was always His Salvation plan to reconcile us back to Him. The shedding of blood has and always been a type of what our redeemer (Jesus Christ) would do on the Cross (Isaiah 53:1-5, Hebrews 9:22). Yet He is still rejected by many.
Jesus is the Answer to our Condition
God Loves Us “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16) Jesus became the sacrificial lamb. It is His blood that washes us clean and forgives us of our sin condition (Hebrews 9:22). He is the one Who makes our paths straight and level. "In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way] (Proverbs 3:6). Jesus is the cornerstone of a new beginning (Mark 12:11).
