He said many things to them in parables: “A farmer went out to scatter seed. As he was scattering seed, some fell on the path, and birds came and ate it. Other seed fell on rocky ground where the soil was shallow. They sprouted immediately because the soil wasn’t deep. But when the sun came up, it scorched the plants, and they dried up because they had no roots. Other seed fell among thorny plants. The thorny plants grew and choked them. Other seed fell on good soil and bore fruit, in one case a yield of one hundred to one, in another case a yield of sixty to one, and in another case a yield of thirty to one. Everyone who has ears should pay attention.” (Matthew 13:3-9)

Its All About The Soil

Good soil is soil that is willing to receive it. We receive the Word/seed by hearing it. In hearing the Word it produces faith (Romans 10:17). The Word of God must fall on good Soil. Soil with depth. Demon spirits are waiting to devour God's seed as it falls. The enemy waits around to check the depth of the seed in order to choke its growth. The devil is the adversary who aims to kill, steal, and destroy your growth in Christ Jesus, your heavenly place in and with Christ, and destroy the tie that binds you to God. Our focus and faith are not to be divided. The cares of this world: money, titles, followers, self - will block the Grace of God on your life. God said, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. A believer's focus and faith are to be on Jesus and what He did on The Cross. The devil knows that if the Word/seed doesn't take root correctly, it won't stand erectly.

Be Willing

"For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). To be willing is to have a circumcision of heart; its a choice we make to accept the Word of God. Respond to Jesus’ voice now, "..as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice, don’t have stubborn hearts as they did in the rebellion,..."Watch out, brothers and sisters, so that none of you have an evil, unfaithful heart that abandons the living God (Hebrews 3:7-8,12). "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Jesus Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
