Touching Jesus Is All That Matters

"And behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: for she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour (Matthew 9:20-22).

Signs of Faith

It's nothing fancy that must be done to reach or touch Jesus. All we need is faith, even the size of a mustard seed will do (Luke 17:6). The woman with the issue of blood for twelve years said within herself 'if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole...(matt. 9:21). She didn't have to yell, although many people did, to get Jesus' attention. She believed in her heart that it could be and so it was. Jesus promised never to leave or forsake those who love Him (Hebrews 13:5). He has given to us His gift of the comforter (His Holy Spirit) (John 16:7) Who hears and makes intercession for us when we don't know exactly what to pray for (Romans 8:26-27). So, Jesus knows what troubles and afflicts us mind, body, and soul. It's not like He cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15). Put your faith in Jesus. Our faith in Jesus and what He did on the Cross is what makes us whole by God's Grace. Whatever your issue is and for however long you've had it, keep believing in Jesus and remain in the vine. As long as you remain in the vine, He will remain in you (John 15).
