When the Branches are Dry
God has no use for dry branches. Dry branches do not Glorify Him. God is the trunk; He is the vine dresser to all who claim to believe in Him. "When [a tree] its branches are dry, they are broken off; The women come and make a fire with them. For they are not a people of understanding, Therefore He who made them will not have compassion on them, And He who created them will not be gracious to them (Isaiah 27:11).
The Strength of God is in the Trunk
Jesus said," I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing (John 15:5). Remaining in Christ is a [daily] requirement. It is a must for believers' [followers of Christ] to follow Christ according to his Word in order that we may continue to do what God says. Jesus is the Vine we are the branches. Remaining in Him is the only way to live according to His will and way. There is no value or nourishment apart from Him. A dry branch cannot live. "When its branches are dry, they are broken off; The women come and make a fire with them. For they are not a people of understanding, Therefore He who made them will not have compassion on them, And He who created them will not be gracious to them (Isaiah 27:11). Jesus said, "I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit] (John 15:1-2). All of the resources to live are in the trunk. The body of Christ. Remain in Him and live. Don't be wood for the fire.
