Your Life will not be found in your Possessions

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

What Do You Treasure?

There are so many things in this world that one could treasure e.g. his house, car(s), finances, or even his children. One may build his whole life around his things and family. The more things he acquires the more things he wants to acquire. "All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. (Ecclesiastes 1:8). You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” (Haggai 1:6). Where does it all go?

Where do You Keep Your Treasure?

Do you keep your treasure under your mattress, in a lock box at the bank, or in stocks and bonds? None of theses places are safe. They never have been and never will be. If a fire breaks out, there goes your mattress treasure. If the bank fails, there is no guarantee you can prove what was put in a lock box. If you are blessed to have more than $250,000, well the FDIC won't cover the overflow. Forget about stocks and bonds we all see how that's going. Here today gone tomorrow. In the end all things temporary will not matter. But, What about your soul? Do you not treasure it? Your life will not be found in your possessions. If you think or believe that you'll find your life in this world, you have already lost it. It is written, "Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39). .

Who can you Trust with your Treasure?

A mans soul should be his most prized possession. Yet! the soul or rather where one's soul will spend eternity is the last thing on his mind. Do you want a guarantee for safe keeping of your soul, which is the only possession that matters. Jesus is the only One Who can be trusted with your soul. God said in His Word, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11). He made a Way . Jesus is the Way.. (John 14:6) "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6). He will guide you safely home and protect your soul, which He has prepared a resting place for. "All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. (Ecclesiastes 1:8). Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3) That's a guarantee. True safe keeping of your most valuable possession.

Believe and you Shall Receive Rest for your Weary Soul

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17). Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow . There remains a rest for God's people (Hebrews 4:9).
